Trakx Weekly Update: Modest Growth Perspective

Key Crypto Market Figures

CTI Weekly Performance
This week marked a period of reasonable growth for most Crypto Tradable Indices (CTIs), while a few sectors delivered double-digit gains.
- Leading the rally: Trakx CEX CTI
The Trakx CEX CTI soared 28.1%, making it the top performer of the week. Centralized exchange tokens benefited from surging activity and rising trading volumes, driving investor inflows. - Ecosystem strength: Trakx Cardano Ecosystem CTI
The Cardano ecosystem CTI also posted notable gains (20.4%) , underscoring investor confidence in ADA and its growing ecosystem of projects. - Broad market momentum: Top 10 Crypto CTI
The Top 10 Crypto CTI rose by 3.6%, reflecting steady growth across leading cryptocurrencies. - The weakest performer this week was the Meme CTI, which declined by 7.3%. While speculative tokens lost ground, this did little to overshadow the broader positive trend across the market.
ETFs Holdings & Regulatory Developments
This week, BlackRock’s crypto holdings surpassed $100 billion, with Bitcoin remaining the dominant asset in its portfolio. Amsterdam-based Amdax announced plans to launch a Bitcoin treasury company on Euronext, targeting the acquisition of at least 1% of the total BTC supply. In regulatory developments, the U.S. introduced new legislation to broaden access to crypto, while India began reviewing its crypto tax rules to ease the burden on traders. On the corporate front, MicroStrategy signaled intentions to expand its Bitcoin holdings, reinforcing the institutional accumulation trend.
Market Conditions Turned a Little Bearish
Market conditions, however, turned a little bit bearish as Bitcoin tested the $115,000 level and Ethereum slipped below $4,400, bringing total market capitalization under $4 trillion. This correction triggered over $1 billion in liquidations, though the DeFi sector remained resilient, led by Chainlink’s 14% surge following new partnership announcements. Looking ahead, analysts are divided: some warn of continued volatility, while others project that Bitcoin could climb to $150,000 by the end of 2025.
