Trakx Weekly Update: April 14

Key Crypto Market Figures

CTIs Weekly Performance
Markets showed signs of cautious optimism last week after the prior week’s broad selloff. While macro uncertainty continues to weigh on investor sentiment, select crypto narratives saw renewed inflows. Leading the pack was the Trakx DEX CTI, which surged 21.5%. The Trakx DePIN CTI followed closely with a 17% gain.
On the other end, the Trakx BTC Momentum CTI was flat on the week, posting a 0% return — making it the weakest performer in relative terms, as momentum in BTC markets remained muted.
Fear Pulls Back — But Not Gone
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index rebounded modestly to 31, pulling out of “Extreme Fear” territory but still signaling a risk-averse mood. While the worst of the panic may have passed, cautious positioning remains prevalent across crypto and broader risk markets.
Investors Await Clearer Signals
With no new major macro shocks this week, crypto markets were able to regain footing — though volumes remain tepid, and traders are still watching for developments on U.S. monetary policy and any potential retaliatory moves in global trade. The recent tariff announcements continue to cast a shadow, but the absence of further escalations allowed for a short-term bounce in speculative narratives like DePIN and DEX.
